After taking some time to tweak some of my issues with it, I am not a place with my AA where I am pretty happy to call it complete. For those who are curious about what has changed from the version below I can tell you. I added an overlay on top of the dogs arm to fix my match line which didnt do it's job. I moved the building and tree out of frame more on the jumps and added a slight blur in after effects to give more focus to the dog. Not too much.
This A.A was quite a learning experience. D.Q, the third year animation instructor was a massive help in many different stages so I owe him a huge "thank you" for putting up with my many questions during revisions and colouring. If you would like a re-cap of all the hard work I have put into this thing you can click on the right bar under "Action Analysis", or just scroll back in the history.
Thus brings me to the end of the term. The group film is coming along. We have lost a few members, all are brilliant artists and I hope they find what they are looking for in their future goals. The film, temporarily titled "Food For Thought" will be released in April and may be up online shortly after some screenings. I have not shown any production word for that as it is a collaborative effort, hopefully next term I can bring something your way.
This now starts my holiday break, I have a few projects planned for my demo reel for the next few weeks. Keep an eye out!

AA Background
I might add some touch ups to the foreground before submitting it and adding it to the scene. Seeing as I have spent a great deal of the night on it, I am letting it be right now.
EDIT: I added more contrasting tones in the foreground. Have a few more additions I want to do if I have the time.

It seems like it has been ages since I last posted some content, and it will probably be another long while until the next one. This year I am taking on a few different tasks, and am hoping to come out with a bunch of art work and credentials under my belt. Without further interruption..
This is the Final Animatic for the Action Analysis (AA) Assignment for Third Year. The AA is the precursor to my Third Year Group Film. For the Group Film I working with a lovely group of individuals, many of which are my closest friends, so it is going to be a very exciting experience. We are currently nailing a story, then is on to design. Keep an eye out for all of that.
This AA Reel is as polished as most of it is going to get. I will be animating for the section where the dog jumps, and digital colouring it. Before I get to that step I have got to come up with some final designs, which will be up here soon.
Hope to be back sooner rather than later!

This is a concept image for my Action Anaylsis. I hope to get some BC sketches up soon. I kinda hit the ground running with school, work and animation council stuff and haven't had time for a decent upload yet.

Hello everyone.
I am back from a lovley vacation in British Columbia. I didn't get to see everyone and everything I wanted too but it was still an enjoyable and relaxing time. I was happy getting my name and info out at the studios.
I was planning on putting up some sketches I did while I was out there, but as fate would have it I returned to a broken computer. My computer will go 'under the knife' tonight and I will hopefully have some new stuff up this week.
To all of my classmates and Sheridan friends, I look forward to seeing you next week and I hope you are all looking forward to a hell of a year.
To all of my great friends and family, thank you for loving my and supporting me as I grow and continue to do what I love.
To everyone else who visits my blog, thank you for taking the time to look at my art. I have been checking the stats and am so glad to see people from all over the world who are interested in what I do.
Look forward, Sheridan Year 3 Starts Now! (*or more correctly, on Tuesday. Thanks Andrew)

I hate to admit that I am not a big reader. I always find it kind of boring and it causes my eyes to hurt if I do it for a prolonged time. Though I am not a reader, every now and again I purchase a book that seems interesting to me. I rarely finish them or quite often toss them in a drawer and never let them see the light of day.
The case with Rankin's Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse (HCBA), is just that, except 3 years after purchasing it I picked it up and read it start to finish, and did so this weekend. HCBA was quite a funny read, and right from the first few paragraphs I wanted to draw the main characters, which is what you see above. So I guess, call these fanart or some sorts.
I also want to get Flash us and running to do some quickies for a portfolio and I also want to do a nice (epic) digital painting before the summer's end.

I would like to thank Kris for the couscous and leaving a ball point pen at my place.
It has been ages since I have seriously draw in pen and I forgot I loved the feel of it. Someone needs to go mall drawing and bust it out...
and that someone is ME!
I also plan on watercolouring some buildings tomorrow. If it goes through they will be posted, if not you will see them this weekend.

"Yeahh, I got it! I got it!"
TF2 piece I did this morning. I wanted to try to see if I could pull off the style Nate Bellegarde does on the MC Chris albums. For some work by Nate, go here.
Edit: I posted a new version. One where he looks more mid-stride. Sells the pose more.

Cesar Romero, Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger, Mark Hamill as the Joker
I have been sick the past week or so. It is truly no fun. Hoping to kick it soon and start drawing more.
Thankfully, this marks 3 weeks until I am headed to BC. I will hopefully be seeing some great studios, meeting some great artists, seeing some extended family and spending alot of time great time with people who are close to me.

I vowed to always use this blog to post art and only art related things. Though this is a step away from that goal, this is something worth promoting!
Joss Whedon's Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog has one more day of free viewing (end's on the 20th) before it is removed and turned into a DVD purchase. Anyone who is a fan of Joss's work, Firefly, Buffy, Nathan Fillion, Neil Patrick Harris, supervillians, comics, musicals, love stories and funny things should not hesitate to click the link that follows. I am going to be putting some fan art up eventually but I don't think anyone should miss this:

Thus concludes me promoting non-art realted things through my blog. Thank you!

I was crazy-busy working at my summer job, assisting with the convocation services for the college this past week. It was fun but when you work 7am-10pm you really don't want to do anything besides sleep for the night. So I apologize for the art lull. Below is some stuff to make up for that and expect more and possible good news soon!
The building sketch is from downtown T.O.
The other 2 are PSD Power sketches.
